These terms govern the use of the iOS app Taschino and its encrypted sync service. By using the app, you accept these terms.
Taschino is a free personal finance management app (transactions, budgets, accounts, cards, optional sharing between multiple people via the "Business" feature), with an optional end-to-end encrypted sync and backup service across devices.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information provided at sign-up and for the confidentiality of your login credentials. You are solely responsible for any activity carried out through your account.
Your financial data is encrypted on your device before syncing: we cannot access its content and, as a result, we cannot recover your synced data if you lose access to your encryption key (for example after a password reset with no device retaining the key, or if you lose all devices linked to the account). We recommend keeping a local backup of your data using the export/backup feature available in the app (Account > Data Backup), and storing it somewhere safe, at your own responsibility.
You agree to use the app lawfully and not to attempt to compromise its security, gain unauthorized access to accounts that are not yours, or deliberately overload the service.
The cloud sync service is provided "as is" and "as available", without guarantees of continuity, error-free operation, or uninterrupted availability. We may temporarily suspend the service for maintenance or for reasons beyond our control. The app remains usable offline for managing data stored locally on the device, regardless of the cloud service's status.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided without warranties of any kind, and we cannot be held liable for data loss, service interruptions, or indirect damages arising from use of the app, except as mandatorily provided by law for consumer protection.
If you create or join a shared Business account, you acknowledge that the group administrator, by deleting their own account, can cause the deletion of the entire shared Business and the resulting loss of access for all members.
You can delete your account at any time from the app's Account screen. Deletion is permanent and irreversible: it results in the permanent removal of your encrypted data and keys from the server.
We may update these terms over time, for example following new app features. We will inform you of material changes by updating the date at the top of this page; continued use of the app after such an update constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
These terms are governed by Italian law, without prejudice to any mandatory rights provided by the law of the consumer's country of residence.
